People hear “R10 million company in 2 years” and they assume there’s a secret. A shortcut. Some insider move that most people don’t have access to.
There isn’t.
What there is, is a shift in how you think — and that shift changes everything else that follows.
The problem with how most people approach business
When I started out, I thought building a business was about working harder than everyone else. More hours. More calls. More hustle. And yes, hard work matters — but hard work without the right mental framework is like running fast in the wrong direction.
The real shift happened when I stopped asking “how do I make more money?” and started asking “what kind of business do I need to build?”
Those are completely different questions. And they produce completely different results.
The brain hack
Here it is, plainly: your brain defaults to survival. It is wired to protect you, to keep you comfortable, to avoid risk. Left unchecked, that instinct will keep you in the same place forever — doing safe things, making safe choices, and wondering why nothing changes.
The hack is to consciously override that default. To train your mind to be comfortable with discomfort. To make decisions from a place of vision rather than fear.
In practice, that looked like this for me:
I started making decisions based on where I was going, not where I was. I stopped waiting for permission or validation. I stopped letting self-doubt have the final word. I built discipline around my thinking the same way athletes build discipline around their training.
And slowly, the business followed.
What two years of focused execution actually looks like
It’s not glamorous. It’s early mornings and late nights. It’s deals that fall through and clients who walk away and plans that need to be rewritten. It’s building a team and learning how to lead people when you’re still figuring yourself out.
But when you’re clear on your vision, none of that breaks you. It just becomes part of the process.
Dragon Pride Realty didn’t reach where it is by accident. It got there because we built with intention — every hire, every deal, every decision aligned with a bigger picture.
The takeaway
You don’t need a brain hack. You need to decide — really decide — what you’re building and why. Everything else is execution.
Start with the decision. The rest follows.
